'This was one of the tasks we set forth at the beginning of this campaign - to continue the long march of those who came before us, a march for a more just, more equal, more free, more caring and more prosperous America." He is speaking of the black community here. Make no mistake. Our generation and our parents generation was not involved in the slavery of the black population. I am offended by their need to keep slavery alive, because my great, great, great uncle died in the Civil War to help free them from slavery. This insults and offends me. 2. " I am the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas. I was raised with the help of a white grandfather who survived a Depression to serve in Patton’s Army during World War II and a white grandmother who worked on a bomber assembly line at Fort Leavenworth while he was overseas. I’ve gone to some of the best schools in America and lived in one of the world’s poorest nations. I am married to a black American who carries within her the blood of slaves and slaveowners - an inheritance we pass on to our two precious daughters." Have you read his book, Dreams from my Father? He embraces his black heritage and basically trashes his white heritage. And I am not to believe this is racism? That hurts my intelligence and offends me. He is married to a woman who couldn't find "one" thing to be proud of as an American, yet she wants to be my First Lady. That is unreal. 3. "Throughout the first year of this campaign, against all predictions to the contrary, we saw how hungry the American people were for this message of unity. " Yet, he choose to attend a radical church with anti-American views and racist remarks from his pastor concerning white people. He states on one night that he never heard his pastor of 20 years make any defametory speeches from his pulpit against whites, yet I have heard several within the last couple of days. Then yesterday he admits he did hear defametory sermons from this pulpit. He has lied to me. This offends me and why should I believe him now? 4. " In the white community, the path to a more perfect union means acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination - and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past - are real and must be addressed." I am offended that I as a part of the white community seems to still be at fault here. I heard a lot of Jeremiah Wright's sermon keeping the black population back in the past, keeping the down and out about their lives. Not encouraging them to get educations and try and do better. There are more black college aged kids in colleges these days than not. But they will not put those figures out there. NO, they want to tell the black community that the white people are still keeping them under the massa's whip. I am tired and sick of it. 5. Please read my blogs. For these reasons:

Some liked it, some didn't. I, personally, was offended. I listened to it. Some liked it, some didn’t. I, personally, was offended.
